All of us are born without religion. Even though each child born fall by default in the category of its parent’s religion. Babies start being taught this religious doctrine at a tender age. I find it interesting that i can’t stop asking myself, what is so special about religion that we have to label this tiny little babies as Christians, Muslims or even Jews? Why not label them even based on their parents’ political parties they support? Of course we can both agree that this baby is still so young to make decisions about politics, and so do i believe we can also agree so when it comes to religion. I know many will say religion is at the core of humanity morals, and that in most cases as i see, its used for moral policing, but i believe humans can live a moral life without religion.
Like all doctrines religion is taught and learnt. As such, one can choose to ignore or believe in them(religion theories). In that case, any objective observer will make a decision based on the rationalism of the respective religion story. Again we both know children can’t make such rational decisions.
Now we have to agree that some doctrines are extremely radical. You may lame other factors for causing plague and miseries upon humanity, but let’s not forget the elephant in the room called religion. In my view of it, religion is a deadly virus when radicalized as it has been and imposed upon an innocent growing child. We have seen religious radicalized groups rise up(groups like jihad-ism). The rise of sectarian schools in England alone is amazing. These schools segregate and isolate children based on their parents religious lines. The danger of such imposition is that such religious instigator of violence against infidels may cause such religious groups to forget, that they have any other identity other than their own religion group they now belong to. When members of a society with various culture live together, empathy and understanding are increased and this process is very important during the formative and educational early years of a child’s life.
Religion doctrines should be introduced later in one’s life when they are adults to help them make more rational decisions, based on the sense they make of each religion story. and this will help reduce radicalization of our society.
Again let me make something extremely clear. God exists and we find not only find evidences in our respective religious books, but we also see evidences in our physical world everyday we live. This evidences point out to a higher order than humanity, and the truth is there is only one God. Sadly, humans being human beings, have politicized even the things of God and of supernatural in nature, inspired by their own egos, stupidity and greed. In their own foolishness and malice, have perfectly grafted deceit and orchestrated divide among themselves by introducing religion, to satisfy these ungodly behaviors. The truth is whether you are a Muslim, Christian, or even Jew, you serve a higher order than yourselves and that is God. Having said that, then therefore, i ask one question; what good does religion do us? Let’s face the truth, religion is here to divide us and not to unite us. Only if we put this differences and aside and join forces then we can unite and serve this one maker of the universe.God. what a wonderful place this world would be! i can imagine the smile upon God’s face when this happens!
